Radiant News Compass

Editorial policy

Radiant News Compass aims to make clear, useful writing about light and colour. We explain what a piece can support, take care with claims and make changes visible when a published detail needs correction.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against suitable sources and review names, descriptions and explanations before publication. We distinguish general principles from personal impressions and avoid presenting a visual preference as a universal rule. When a subject depends on context, we say so rather than smoothing away the differences.

Independence and corrections

Editorial decisions belong to the publication. We do not promise favourable coverage in exchange for access, payment or a partnership. Readers can report a specific possible error through the Contact page. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and add a clear correction note when a change materially affects the piece.

Partner material

Paid placements and other partner material are identified clearly where they appear. A commercial relationship does not determine our editorial conclusions, and we do not disguise promotional writing as independent editorial coverage.

Images and illustrations

Illustrations may be made or edited with digital tools, including generative AI. Where an AI-generated illustration is used, it is identified as such. Illustrations are not evidence of a real scene, object or event unless the caption says otherwise.

Our point of view

Looking closely changes the picture

Light is not just brightness, and colour is not just a swatch. We like small experiments that help you notice what changes when the angle, surroundings or time of day changes.
